Winter CSA is Available to Sustaining Members Only, Sold Out For The
2023/24 Season.
Details: The Winter CSA is a cold-season farm share that runs through December, February, and March (no pick-up in January)…
There will be five pick-ups over the course of the three months. Two big pick-ups in December, one big pick-up in February, and two big pick-ups in March (dates TBA).
This allows us flexibility while guaranteeing you plenty of produce and limiting the amount of driving you have to do in February. Winter vegetables will store in your refrigerator for a very, very long time.
Shares will be pre-bagged in a one-size-fits-all manner (no half, three-quarter shares available.)
The Winter Share is suitable for families of all sizes as a staple of your diet (1-3 people) or as a supplement to your monthly groceries (4-6 people).
What’s Offered? We will be offering winter-harvested greens from our greenhouses such as kale and pea shoots, as well as garlic, onions, potatoes, rutabagas, carrots, beets, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, leeks, celeriac, watermelon radishes, turnips, daikon radishes, parsnips, and potentially more. In early December and late March there may be some other hardy vegetables available as well.
Price: A Winter CSA share is $300 and is included in the Sustaining Membership Full Season cost. We will require a $100 deposit to hold your Winter Share, due by Nov. 10th.
Where and When? Pick-Ups will be held on Thursdays (No Wednesday Pick Up) with two options for members: At the farm (1012 Snake Hill Rd) between 11am-6pm or at Bell Street Chapel (5 Bell Street PVD) between 5-7pm.
Pick-Up dates for December will be announced in mid November.
Other Products? We will be selling our eggs, first come, first serve, at the pick-up ($6/dozen cash). No other additional products will be available during the Winter.
